Platinum

Platinum is the most chemically inert metal within the entire PGM range. It features a high mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and unique catalytic properties. Platinum-based chemicals are widely used in the jewelry and electroplating fields, in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, in the automotive and aviation industry, in the electrical field, in the production of mirrors and medical devices, for optical fibers and in liquid crystal displays.
