Application fields
CARE 7211 is recommended for a wide range of hydrogenation reactions typical of Palladium on activated carbon catalysts, such as nitro group reductions to amine, de-halogenation reactions, reduction of an aldehyde to the corresponding alcohol. Also used for hydrogenolysis of benzyl ethers or esters and the removal of protective carbobenzyloxy radicals from peptides or amino acids.
