Application fields
CARE 7112 is recommended for a broad range of hydrogenation reactions typical of Palladium on activated carbon catalysts, such as nitro group reductions to amine, de-halogenation reactions, reductive amination to dimethyl amine with formaldehyde for API synthesis (Eschweiler-Clarke reaction). Also used for hydrogenolysis of benzyl ethers or esters and the removal of protective carbobenzyloxy radicals from peptides or amino acids.
